Its aim is to develop standardized, manufacturer-independent and machine-independent digital communication for all aspects of the construction process. Today, the working group has over 130 members from eight European countries. Novatron joined VDMA and MiC 4.0 working group as a member in 2025 and is the first to achieve manufacturer-independent communication between an attachment and a work machine using its excavator control system.
