Construction machinery manufacturers in the VDMA and construction companies in the HDB founded the MiC 4.0 working group as a cooperation project in 2019. Its aim is to develop standardized, manufacturer-independent and machine-independent digital communication for all aspects of the construction process. Novatron joined VDMA and MiC 4.0 working group as a member in 2025 and is the first to achieve manufacturer-independent communication between an attachment and a work machine using its excavator control system.

Developed for demanding Nordic needs, the solution has proven to be excellent for the customer base of Volvo Construction Equipment Finland Oy and the Norwegian construction contractor Sartor Drange As.

Dawnford Sales Ltd., a company based on Vancouver Island, Canada, have selected Novatron’s Xsite Machine Control Products to their offering.

In September 2024, Verston Eesti OÜ won their fourth tender for a section of Rail Baltica. Currently, there are four Verston’s excavators using Xsite PRO 3D machine control systems at Rail Baltica construction site. The interoperability between a machine control system and cloud service enables an efficient infra construction project.
